He is survived by: his wife Regina Hovis Chapman; his children, Jeff Chapman and Liza (Eric Mikkelson); his grandsons, Jacob and Evan; his nephew Chris Oliff; and his great-nephew Wyatt Oliff.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (3901 Forest Lawn Dr, Greensboro, NC 27455).
