She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Lee Joyce and Beulah Ernestine Dezern Joyce; her husband Carl Leon May; her son Beary Leon May; and her sisters, Edith Neese, Belle Gerringer and Toodie Sharpe.
She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Norwood (Tommy); her grandson Ty Norwood (Morgan) of Youngsville, NC; her great grandchildren, Olivia Irene and Thomas Brooks; her sister-in-law Celia May Summers; her nieces and nephews, Cheryl Ann, Donna, Tami, Sheri, Lynn, Larry, Tony, Darrell, Mike and Danny; and her close friends, Cheryl Smith, Lee Garrett, Pam Litten, Sandy Jarrett and Wesley Jarrett.
