He is survived by: his wife Cathy Dixon Gerner; his children, Justin Gerner and Tanya Gerner Flowers (Kirk) of McLeansville, NC; his grandchildren, Austin, Brooke and Maelyn Flowers; his siblings, Donald, Bob (Treva), Irene Gerner, Rachel Williams and Bet Butler; his mother-in-law Georgia Dixon; and his siblings-in-law, Debbie Porch (Chuck), Cindy Smith (Rags) and Mike Dixon (Renee). He is also survived by several nephews and a niece and great-nieces and nephews.
