She is survived by: her daughters, Janie F. White and Tosé Cordelle Louis; her son-in-law Jimmy Louis Jr.; her granddaughter Kiara S. Oliver; her sister Maudette F. Ormé; her nieces, Kimberly N. Ormé and Shannon L. Hernandez; and her daughter Cheryl W. Barber.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to arts organizations that support emerging artists, honoring Mayme's commitment to nurturing the dreams of future generations.
