He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Gregory Gunter (Erin Moran-Gunter), Michael Wayne Gunter and Patricia Gunter; his brothers, Rod and Gary Gunter; and his grandchildren, Savannah, Derek, Devin, Shelton, James Gunter, Patrick Kearns, Kimberly Price and Eliana Gunter.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Services (165 Skyland Dr, Sylva, NC 28779). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
