He was predeceased by : his parents, O. C. Lane and Soujette Lane; and his siblings, Arlene Hartley, Martha Gregory, C. J. Lane, Toby Lane and Gene Lane.
He is survived by : his daughter Melany Bowen of Statesboro; his grandchildren, Mary Bowen Partain (Chad) of Statesboro and Vance Durden Bowen (Sarah); his great grandchild Roy Wilder Bowen; his brother Robert Lane (Jerri) of Savannah; and his great-nephew John Lane (Helen Blackburn). He is also survived by several cousins, nephews.
