It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charley Kight of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Martha Freshour; his sister Nola Carpenter; and his son-in-law Darrell McCoy. He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly Dawn Gary (Adam) of Granite Falls and Jennifer Renee McCoy of Independence, VA; his grandchildren, Chelsea Gary, Winter Gary, Teegan Smith, Mary Grace McCoy, Jordan Boone, Emma Gary, Kadence Gary, Noah McCoy and Payton Gary; and his great grandchild Emersyn Boone.
