He was predeceased by : his parents, Claud Henry and Helen Opitz Brooks; and his siblings, Ann Louise Brooks Yates and Kenny Marvin Brooks. He is survived by : his spouse Pat of Wilkesboro; his brother-in-law Junior Yates of Wilkesboro; his nieces, Debra Haymore (Mike) of North Wilkesboro and Joy Watkins (Doug) of Taylorsville; and his nephew John Brooks.
