With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Joines of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Shafter and Molly Hamilton Joines; and his siblings, Peggy Joines, Mary Frances Reep, Dare Marie Joines, Fred Joines, Robert Lewis and Raymond Joines.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Foster Joines; his sons, Ronald Leman Joines of Statesville and Timothy Brian Joines of Wilkesboro; his grandchildren, Christina Marie Joines of Hickory and Brian Hamilton Joines of Charlotte; and his siblings, Lilly Laws of Statesville, Nancy Mullins of Elkin, Michael Joines of Statesville and Ralph Joines of Moravian Falls.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Moravian Falls Baptist Church (1940 Moravian Falls Rd, Moravian Falls, NC 28654). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
