It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ella Mae McGlamery Parsons (Wilkesboro, North Carolina), who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, George Daughton and Barbara Allen McGlamery; her significant other James Everett "Junior" Parsons; her in-laws, James Everett Parsons Senior and Zora Adams Parsons; her son Jerry Lane Parsons; her son-in-law Tommy Bumgarner; her siblings, Richard (Grace), Guy, Claude (Isolde), James David, Marvin and Betty Mae McGlamery; and her close friends, Shirley Hutchens, Irene Blackburn, Randy and Libby Church.

She is survived by : her children, Bobbie Bumgarner (Tommy), Cindy Davis and William Parsons (Patsy); her daughter-in-law Lougunda Parsons; her grandchildren, Jacob Bumgarner, Ella Bess Marshall (George), Katharine Davis, Sarah Davis, Gabrielle Grooms (Tommy) and Chandler Parsons; her great grandchildren, Trey, Charlotte Grace Marshall and Benjamin Lee Grooms; her caregivers, Laural Holt and Wanda Hartley; and also, Annette Jones, Michael McGlamery and Ricky Nichols.
