He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Elmo Eller and Emzie Celeta Eller (Hartley); his wife Barbara Kay Eller (Murray); his in-laws, Robert William and Catherine Francis Murray (Klimcak); his brothers-in-law, Gordon Noble, Robert Murray, Donald Murray and David Murray; and his son-in-law David James.
He is survived by: his children, Ernest Eller of Mooresville, NC, Holly Eller James of Mooresville, NC, Michael Eller (Allison) of Mooresville, NC and Nicholas Eller (Katie) of Mooresville, NC; his grandchildren, Kyrsten Eller, Duncan Eller, Catherine Ann James, Mary Elizabeth James, William David James, Landon Eller, Emily Eller, Caroline Eller and Charlotte Eller; his siblings, Jane Noble of Boone, NC and David Eller of Ferguson, NC; and his sisters-in-law, Kathleen Murray of Mt. Prospect, IL, BethAnn Murray of Roswell, GA and Marilyn Murray of Lansing, KS.. He is also survived by his wife, his four children and nine grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Salle Catholic Church (275 C C Wright School Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659).
