She was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Carl Chapman and Genity Gay Fortner Ferguson; husband: Roby Smith "RS" Earp, Jr.; sisters: Nell Katz, Christine Foster, and Sue Ferguson Swanson; brothers: Jack Ferguson, Kenneth Ferguson (Virginia), Larry Dean Ferguson, and Terry Paul Ferguson (Nancy); sisters-in-law: Sue Ferguson and Virginia; brothers-in-law: Carl Swanson and Garvin Foster; daughter: Jelynn Earp Richie (Patrick); son: Roby Smith Earp, III (Jacqueline); grandchildren: Bradley Richie (Alayne), Cole Richie, Megan Richie, Peyton Mueller (Hunter), Reagan Earp, and Leah Earp; great grandchildren: Judson Richie and Jase Richie; other: Dr. Bert Young and Rev. Amanda Atkin; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (308 Main St, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at the Little Rock Baptist Church Cemetery (248 Little Rock Church Rd, Boomer, NC 28606).
