She was predeceased by : her father Earnest Theodore Miller; her husband Robert Allen Whittington; and her sisters, Ernestine Miller Crump and Glenda Jean Miller. She is survived by : her sons, Robert Whittington of Wilkesboro, Tony Whittington (Alma) of Winston Salem and Ricky Whittington (Lori) of Millers Creek; her sisters, Winnie Austin of Lenoir, Joan Miller of Lenoir and Annie Pauline Philyaw (Jerry Brown) of North Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Christopher Whittington (Cari), Brooke Adeline Whittington, Caleb Whittington and Morgan Whittington; her great grandchildren, Samuel Whittington and Dawson Sullivan; and her extended family, Wilkes and Caldwell.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church of Wilkesboro (1298 Antioch Church Rd, Wilkesboro, NC 28697).
