It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca Shiver Hubbard of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, born in Graham, North Carolina, who passed away on March 26, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband John W. Hubbard Sr. of Wilkesboro; her parents, Noble C. Shiver and Caroline Shiver; her son John White Hubbard Jr.; and her sisters, Dorothy S. "Dottie" Hubbard, Frances Saxon and Caroline Shiver.

She is survived by : her children, Caroline Hubbard Czerkawski (Drew) of North Wilkesboro and Charles N. Hubbard (Shari) of Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Sydney Hubbard of Wilkesboro, Meredith Hubbard Smetana (Rachel) of Omaha, NE and Andrew Pierce (Landon Absher) of Wilkesboro; her great grandchildren, Finn and Salem Quate of Edenton; and her siblings-in-law, Nell Hubbard Domeck of Prospect and Jim Saxon of Amelia Island, Fla..

Until the COVID-19 pandemic, she was a member of three local bridge clubs.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in Rebecca Hubbard's name to North Wilkesboro Presbyterian Church or Wilkes ADAP.
