He was predeceased by: his parent Emily Cecil Watkins Forte; and his sister Ethel Watkins Tabor. He is survived by: his wife Ann C. Watkins; his daughters, Emily Todd (Marvin) of Kannapolis and Adina C. Watkins of Wilkesboro; his granddaughters, Janissa R. Todd and Alexa N. Todd of Kannapolis, NC; his great grandchildren, Layla Harris and David Harris (DJ); his sister Lori Forte Kirkland; his nephew Mark Tabor (Ann); his niece Tracy Tabor; and his siblings-in-law, Lee E. Cockerham, Harry Cockerham (Lisa), James Cockerham (Beverley) and Myra Cockerham (Toni). He is also survived by nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Chapel (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659).
