He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Teague and Effie Teague of Wilbar, NC.; and his brothers, Bill Teague, Baxter Teague and Jerry Teague.

He is survived by: his wife Virgie Teague; his daughters, Ann Carter (Tom) and Melissa Campbell (David); his grandchildren, Brittany Carter and Jonathan Carter; and his sisters, Jewel Brown, Betty Brown and Ailene Brown. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and members of his extended family.
