He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Matthews and Hazel Murray Matthews; and his siblings, Tommy Matthews and Joyce Alabaster. He is survived by : his wife Linda Mills Matthews; his children, Beth Matthews Knowles (Glenn) of Willard and Franklin Brent Matthews (Beth) of Willard; his grandchildren, Matthew Knowles (Heather), Mallory Matthews Outlaw (Michael) and Adam Matthews (Kenzie); his great grandchildren, Jase Knowles, Bray Knowles, Luke Matthews and James Outlaw; and his brother Larry Matthews (Alice) of Wilmington. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
