He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Melvin and Exie Gurganious Padgett; and his sister Deborah Walker. He is survived by: his wife Melinda Marks Padgett; his children, Ann Moore (Alan) of Willard, Johnny Padgett (Christine) of Willard and Donna Smith (Donald) of Willard; his grandchildren, Chris Padgett (Leigh Anna), Kimberly Padgett (Tim), A. J. Moore (Sierra), Kevin Smith and Casey Smith; his great grandchildren, Kyla Michaud, Caleb Duncan (Devin), Joanna Pelletere and Aiden Green; and his siblings, Lucille Giddeons, Mitchell Padgett (Juanita), Joann Marshburn, Melvin Padgett (Donna), Joyce Ward (Bobby), Frances Brown (Clifton), Rebecca Fowler (Jim), David Padgett (Susan), Pattye Ebert, Robert Marks (Mary) and Chris Marks (Wanda). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
