With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wayne Watkins Sr. (Willard, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 3, 2025 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Jackson Watkins and Rosa Lee Leonard Watkins. He is survived by: his wife Helen Richardson Watkins; his sons, Wayne Jackson Watkins, Jr. (Gail) and Anthony Glenn Watkins (Diane); his siblings, Tex Watkins (Brenda) and June Brown; his grandchildren, Wayne Watkins III, Brideon Watkins, Chloe Peedin (Reagan) and River Watkins; and his great grandchildren, Addison, Kairi, Waylon and Van.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Riverview Memorial Park (9332 US-117, Willard, NC 28478).
