She was predeceased by: her parents, King Roy Hyman, Sr. and Emma Maeliza Brown Hyman; her husband Richard Winns, Sr. of McClellanville; and her siblings, King Hyman, Jr., James Andrew Hyman, Sr., Willie Lee Hyman, Emma Hyman Jackson and Geraldine Hyman Brown.
She is survived by: her siblings, Doris Jean Hyman Goddard of Williamston and Alvin Vondel Grimes of Castalia; her children, Cathy Michelle Winns of Staten Island, Richard Winns, Jr. of Jersey City and Melanie Anne Winns of Portsmouth, Virginia.; and her grandchildren, Se'quan Demare Winns, Ria Monet Winns, Chanel Marvia Winns, A'Dream Winns and Aaron Kamel Mudd. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
She was generous to a fault, always willing to give her last to help the helpless, clothe the needy, feed the hungry, donate to the poor, and uplift those facing hardship.
