She was predeceased by : her husband Burroughs Taylor; her parents, Clayton Bailey and Ethel Bailey; her sisters, Madeline Beach and Sally Johnson; her son Derek Taylor; and her granddaughter Jacquelyn Taylor.

She is survived by : her sister Jean Wheeler; her son R. Merritt Taylor (Pam); her daughter-in-law Jean Taylor; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Wagner (David), Lisa Tant (Aaron), Mandy Keel (Eric) and Brian Taylor. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Gentiva Hospice.
