She was predeceased by: her parents, Mervin Allen Bonds and Sudie Mae Williams Bonds; her husband Marvin Eugene Howell; her daughter Sherri Joy Howell; and her siblings, Shirley Faye Denton, Ernest Stancil Bonds, Louis Mervin "Junior" Bonds and Donald Clark Bonds.
She is survived by: her children, Stancil Laverne Howell of Williamston and Rene Howell Dixon (Jonathan) of New Bern; her grandchildren, Kimberly Howell, Cody Howell and Katelyn Dixon; and her great grandchild Ar'Mariah Howell. She is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church (1248 Tyner Rd, Williamston, NC 27892). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 11:00 PM at the same location.
