It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Leggette Griffin (Williamston, North Carolina), who passed away on October 20, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucy Perry and Hugh Bonner Leggette; her sister Becky Brown; her husbands, James E. Dougherty and Harold Griffin; and her children, Margaret Virginia and Phil Dougherty.
She is survived by: her son James "Butch" Dougherty (Vicki); her daughter-in-law Kathy Dougherty (Phil); her daughter Mary Lou Rogers (Rick); and her grandchildren, Susan Dukes (Eric), Penny Williams (Craig), Lorrie Pipkin (Nathan), Phillip Dougherty (Marty), Jami Dougherty, Rich Rogers (Kirstin), Chris Rogers, Brian Rogers (Becky), Rob Dougherty (Bridget) and Ginny Rogers. She is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
