We announce the death of Michael Sheppard (Williamston, North Carolina), born in Everetts, North Carolina, who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Wallace Sheppard and Robert Earl Sheppard, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Sherleen Blount of Plymouth, NC.; his children, Shanita Sheppard of Durham, NC, Shalise Anthony (Steven) of Williamston, NC and Michael Sheppard II; his granddaughter Aamani Anthony; his siblings, Miranda Harrison (Wendell) and Robert Earl Sheppard (Yvonne); his aunt Simone Wallace; and his siblings-in-law, Daisy Fulford, Deborah Whitaker and John Blount, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church (2131 Rodgers School Rd, Williamston, NC 27892).
