She was predeceased by: her daughter Jeanne Faircloth; her grandson Steven Orvis; and her siblings, Richard, Dale, Donnie, Marty, Linda and Carol.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald Arthur Orvis; her children, Ronieta Downey (Joe) of Starksboro, Vermont, Gerald "Jerry" Orvis (Sheri) of Williamston and Jamie Orvis (Cheryl) of Starksboro, Vermont.; her grandchildren, Andrew Downey (Danielle), Karen Preston (Burton), Emily Douglas, Taylor Mozingo, Ashlee Mott (Daniel), Mark Faircloth (Jocelyn) and Joseph "JJ" Downey (Nicole); her great grandchildren, Emma, Noah Downey, Jacob Preston, Harper, Waylon Mozingo, Madison, Ian, Xander, Livia, Zoe, Griffin Faircloth and Aubrey Downey; and her siblings, Shirley, Mary of Missouri, Jim of North Carolina and David of Missouri.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home-Williamston Starts (414 N Haughton St, Williamston, NC 27892). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home, Chapel (414 N Haughton St, Williamston, NC 27892).
