He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hotaling and Mary Hotaling. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Fulcher Hotaling; his son Donald Copeland Jr. (Erica) of Newport, N. C.; his brother Charles T. Hotaling (Debbie) of Charlotte, N. C.; and his pet Lyla. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
