It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lura Mae Gregory Denton of Willow Spring, North Carolina, who passed away on November 7, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Benton Gregory and Myrtle Johnson Gregory; her husband Clyde Denton; and her brother Lewis Gregory. She is survived by: her children, Tony Denton (Julia) of Willow Spring, NC, Elaine D. Fleming (Mickey) of Angier, NC and Alan Denton (Debbie) of Apex, NC; and her grandchildren, Crystal Denton, Curtis Denton, Travis Denton (Brandi), Lori Fonseca (Rob), April Page (Levi), Katie Floyd (Brian), Shannon Hymiller (Daniel), Jonathan Silver (Mandie) and Amy Denton (Adam). She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; 4 nephews.
