It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luther Thomas Rhodes Sr. of Willow Spring, North Carolina, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Luther Henry Rhodes and Selma Hollifield Rhodes; and his sister Edna Vann. He is survived by : his wife Bonnie Lou Rhodes; his children, Bonnie Lynn Hales (Wayne) of Benson, NC, Thomas Rhodes, Jr. of Four Oaks, NC and Don Vann (Juanita) of Angier, NC; his sisters, Mary Frances Bowling of Willow Spring, NC and Barbara Rhodes of Willow Spring, NC; his grandchildren, Kenny Wayne Hales (Ashley), Matthew Rhodes (Bianca), Brittany and Brandi Rhodes; and his great grandchildren, Damion, Makya Rhodes, Everly and Huntley Hales.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home (401 W Cumberland St, Dunn, NC 28334). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Shady Grove Original Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery (7605 Newton Grove Hwy, Dunn, NC 28334).
