Alberta Hatfield McFayden Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alberta Hatfield McFayden of Wilmington, North Carolina, who passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kirk Hatfield and Agatha Hatfield; and her husband John McFayden. She is survived by: her children, Mary Gore (Mike), John McFayden, Marc McFayden (Adrienne) and Jane McFayden; her granddaughter Kathy Hufham; her stepgrandchildren, Jackie Rettick (Matt) and Corbin Otis; her great grandchildren, David Hufham (Naomi) and Katy Hufham; and her great-nephews, Matthew and Andy Graves.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Andrews Valley Chapel (4108 College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28412). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the McFayden Cemetery (3660 Gillespie St, Fayetteville, NC 28306).
