It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alberta Hatfield McFayden of Wilmington, North Carolina, who passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kirk Hatfield and Agatha Hatfield; and her husband John McFayden. She is survived by: her children, Mary Gore (Mike), John McFayden, Marc McFayden (Adrienne) and Jane McFayden; her granddaughter Kathy Hufham; her stepgrandchildren, Jackie Rettick (Matt) and Corbin Otis; her great grandchildren, David Hufham (Naomi) and Katy Hufham; and her great-nephews, Matthew and Andy Graves.
