She was predeceased by: her granddaughter Grace Evelyn Brinson; her parents, Avia Oxendine and Robert Oxendine; and her brother James Ray Oxendine. She is survived by: her husband Terry; her daughter Amanda Brown Brinson; her son-in-law Matt Brinson; her grandson Grant; and her sisters, Janis Mozingo, Judy Phillips and Jenny Russell. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Quinn McGowen Funeral Home (315 Willow Woods Dr, Wilmington, NC 28409). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at the Greenlawn Memorial Park (1311 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412).
