She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughters, Kimberly McKoy of Wilmington, NC and Erica Hansley (Roderick) of Dallas, TX; her siblings, Mary C. Smith of Wilmington, NC and Larry Lee of Wilmington, NC; and her close friends, Oweita Freeman of Wilmington, NC and Barbara Baker (William) of Wilmington, NC. She was also cherished by four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Davis Funeral Home (901 S 5th Ave, Wilmington, NC 28401). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Andrews A. M. E. Zion Church (1201 S 9th St, Wilmington, NC 28401).
