With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Helen Augustine (Wilmington, North Carolina), born in Bryson City, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 12, 2025 at the age of 97. She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Bishop and Herman Bishop; her husband Joseph F. Augustine; her daughter Lisa Ann Augustine; her granddaughter Rachel Reedy Augustine; and her siblings, Betty Ann Runnion, Edwin C. Bishop, Charles Eugene Bishop, Tedd L. Bishop and Jack R. Bishop.
She is survived by: her son Joseph F. Augustine III (Teresa); her granddaughter Lindsay Wiesenmayer (Andrew); her stepgrandchildren, Michael Kulikowski (Allison), Christine Story (Justin) and Peter Onidi; and her great grandchildren, Emily Kulikowski, Abigail Kulikowski, Daisy Wiesenmayer and Jameson Story. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Carolyn's honor to the Friends of the New Hanover County Arboretum.
