He was predeceased by : his parents, Bob Hollis and Hattie Hollis. He is survived by : his wife Dorothy; his children, Chuck Hollis (Wendi) and Beth Key (Barry); his grandchildren, Jon Hollis, Jordan Bell (Brett) and Hannah Key (Kayla); and his great grandchildren, Penelope and Jonathan Bell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Winter Park Baptist Church Music Ministry, 4700 Wrightsville Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28403.
