He is survived by: his sons, William "Jay" Johnston of Maysville and Dustin Cessna (Melanie) of Stella; his grandchildren, Jacob Johnston of Emerald Isle, Averie Cessna of Stella, Sadie Cessna of Stella and Brady Cessna of Stella; and his father Robert David Johnston, Sr..
