With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Claire Pike Smith of Wilmington, North Carolina, born in Fremont, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 29, 2025 at the age of 87. Though Claire Pike may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn Lewis Pike and Clarence Gurney Pike; and her husband Peter. She is survived by: her grandsons, McCain Patrick Wnek of Charlotte, NC and Tenneyson Joseph Wnek of Charleston, SC; her daughter Claire Alexandra Smith Wnek; and her son-in-law John Patrick Wnek of Wilmington, NC..
