He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Haywood Wright and Minnie Bell Miller Wright of Wilmington, NC.; his siblings, Edsel Wright and Joy Wright Sutton; his former wife Dorothy Dodson Wright; and his daughter Mary Ellen Wright McLawhorn (Patricia Ann).
He is survived by: his sisters, Carol Maultsby and Rachel Cobb (Peggy); his daughter Patricia Wright Lyerly (Richard Lyerly); his son-in-law Clifton McLawhorn; his grandson Clifton McLawhorn, Jr. (Wendy); his great grandchild Victoria Leigh Tracy; and also, Keira Luna Heien, Dottie Anderson and Barbara Clark. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
