With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Frank Ballard (Wilmington, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 26, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Ballard and Ernest Ballard; and his wife Cynthia Viola Ballard. He is survived by: his children, Kawaida (Bernard), Jabar (Toye), Gajarah (Gabriel), Seke, Onzel, Shahidah, Thaza, Phemba, Jauhar and Frank, Jr.; his sisters, Helen M. Freeman and Diane Ballard; his godson Immin Robbins; and his cousins, Melinda Robinson and Dwight Perkins (Merline). He is also survived by his children, 34 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren.
