With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Frederick Michael Gainey of Wilmington, North Carolina, born in Spokane, Washington, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 4, 2025 at the age of 66. He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Gainey (S. Air Force) and Eloyce Gainey; and his sister Donna Rae Brooks. He is survived by: his children, Michael (Krystal), Jennifer (Brandon) and Travis (Stephanie); and his grandchildren, John, Anna, Travis, Brittney, Jacob, Vincent, Owen and Bennett.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Silver Lake Baptist Church (1626 Lake Branch Dr, Wilmington, NC 28401).
