He was predeceased by: his parents, John King and Helen King; and his siblings, John King, Jr. and Millicent Chin. He is survived by: his wife Donna Sellers King; and his children, John King, Benjamin Cook, Jr., Rachel Poleo and Jessica Jakaitis (Sam).
A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church (1401 College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28403).
