She was predeceased by: her parents, Glorena Deuser and Ernest Portmann; her siblings, William Portmann (Billy), Jeanette Graeser (Carl) and LaFern Schmittel (Wilbert); her sister-in-law Betty Portmann; her nephew Gary Graeser (Cheryl); and the father of her children Arnold L. Wychel.
She is survived by: her husband Arnold Wychel; her brother James L. Portmann of St Louis, MO; her children, David Wychel (Kerry Webster) of Wilmington, NC and Barbara W. Arndt Matthews (Ed) of Conover, NC; her grandsons, Ben Arndt (Andrea) of Sherrills Ford, NC and Brad Arndt (Rakhi) of Kensington, MD; her great grandchildren, Garrison, Ela and Colson Arndt; and her nephews, Randy Schmittel of Maryland Heights, MO and Jay Graeser (Shelley) of Sullivan, MO.
