He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Ward, Sr. and Dora Mae Bennett Ward; and his siblings, Marthaleen Inman (Ford), Beatrice Gillette (Bert) and J. C. "Jack" Ward (Ruth).
He is survived by: his daughter Kay Ward Lambert of Wilmington; and his grandchildren, Cary Marie Lambert (Tristen Pehrson) of Richland and Cameron James Lambert of Auburndale, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
