We are sad to announce that, on May 31, 2023, at the age of 89, Howard Barnes (Wilmington, North Carolina), born in Charlotte, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Jane Barnes and William Brady Barnes; his wife Margaret Teague Barnes; his son Kevin DeWayne Barnes; and his siblings, Johnny Columbus Barnes, Lindsey Henry Barnes, Sydney Johnson Barnes, Mary Madgeree Talbert, Willie Mae Russ, William Julian Barnes and James Artis Barnes.

He is survived by: his children, Tanya Jones (Jimmy) and Jeff Barnes (Angie Dise); his grandchildren, Hollie Buck (Alan), Christin Crane (Nick), Jessica Barlow (Kent), Thomas Jones (Chelsea) and Jeffrey Barnes (Bibi); and his great grandchildren, Audrey, Emma, Landon Buck, Evelyn, Ava, Ethan Crane, Bryce, Parker Jones, Brooks, Aubrey Barlow, Sebastian and Orlando Barnes.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Mt Beulah Baptist Church.
