She is survived by: her brother Steven Mercer (Sandra) of Fayetteville; her grandchildren, Byron Whittington and Dylan Stallings; her aunt Jane Cherry; Jane Crowder, Larry Honeycutt, Penny Cracker, Phyllis Fuller (Russ) and Jane McCloskey (Tom). She is also survived by family members and friends.
She won a Wilmington Woman of Achievement award for her many faceted contributions to better living for others in the Wilmington area.
