He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Eddins, Sr. and Faye Cottle Eddins; his son Gene Gaskins; and his siblings, Katherine Deese, Joe Eddins and Charles Eddins.
He is survived by: his son Ike Gaskins (Kelly) of Washington, NC; his grandchildren, Ryker Gaskins, Lorelei Gaskins and Brent Roark; and his sister Betty Patricia Lethchworth (Jack) of Cheraw, SC. He is also survived by numerous extended family members, including nieces and nephews.
