She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Coy Skinner and Elaine J. Skinner; her daughter Alexandria Borton; and her brothers, Jeffrey B. Skinner and Joseph W. Skinner.
She is survived by: her son Evan Taylor (Rachel Woodcock); her granddaughters, Karli Taylor and Ellie-Marie Borton; her siblings, Mark Skinner and Shelley Southerland (Michael); her close friend Janice Sessoms; and her caregiver Nicole. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pine Valley Church of Christ (3601 College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28412).
