Jerry Crawford Lewis Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on January 26, 2026, at the age of 74, Jerry Crawford Lewis in Wilmington, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Jerry had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Jerry may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Ray Lewis; his parents, Jack Lewis and Jo Lewis; his siblings, Donald "Red" Lewis and Marylee Lewis Honeycutt; and his stepdaughter Jamie Callicutt.

He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Inge Cheshire (Wayne Cheshire) and Vickie Jennings (Jackie Jennings). He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
