He was predeceased by: his parents, Norwood Frank Rouse and Elizabeth Brinkley Rouse; and his brother David Sterling Rouse. He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Taylor (Brooke), Mary Emerson and Elise; and his siblings-in-law, Norman Akel and Corena Akel.
