She is survived by: her husband David Thomas Yackel; her son Dixon Thomas Yackel; her pet Cupcake; her parents, Harmon Warren Mishoe and Rainelle Dixon Mishoe; her parents-in-law, Patricia Gelsey (Steve) and Ed Yackel; and her cousin Jessica. She is also survived by extended family members including beloved aunts, uncles.
In lieu of flowers, Jessica wished for donations to be made in her memory to The Hill School of Wilmington, where Dixon has been a student for five years.
