He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Hayes and Alice Hayes; his brothers, Willie Martin Hayes and William Eugene Hayes; and his sister-in-law Yvette Bud Hayes.
He is survived by: his sons, James Kelvin Hayes (Kelly) and Rodney Lynn Hayes (Nicole); his grandchildren, RJ Hayes (Brenda), Danielle King (Allison), Brittany Kellogg (Michael), Breanna Hayes and Brooklyn Hayes; and his great grandchildren, Mila, Ashton and Koralen Hayes.
In Lieu of flowers Jim asked donations be made to the GRUB food pantry at his church.
