He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Herchenhahn; his parents, A. B. Herchenhahn and Iva Herchenhahn; and his siblings, Allen Herchenhahn, Fred Herchenhahn, Lucille Jones, Jean Brunson, Gayle Mattheiss, Dawn Gunderson and Louise Bates.
He is survived by: his children, Janna Attoe (Jeff) of Hampstead, Jay Herchenhahn (Gina) of Lancaster, SC and Joy Barth (Brad) of Kernersville, NC; his grandchildren, Jensen Rivera (Ray), Jonah Attoe, Jayse Attoe, Kalli Herchenhahn, Kassi Herchenhahn, Khloe Herchenhahn, Caleb Herchenhahn, Cooper Barth, Colton Barth and Copley Barth; his great grandchildren, Vincent and Halston Rivera; his sisters, Wilma Jones and Judy Ray; and his friend Rev. Mike Meshaw. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
